When starting a campaign do you have a certain bidding strategy i.e. bid high at first and reduce your CPC once optimizations can be made?

Is there a certain tactic you take to smash the competition?

Come in high (knowing what you're doing) to get data fast, lower your bids and off-optimize your losing ads.

I always bid high first just to see what the potential of the traffic source has...

Then slowly lower...

But sometimes starting low and going higher can work depending on the traffic source, but yeah like Jay said.. Go hard.
