Click volume effecting performance

My click volume has really ramped up going though our own system and voluum, all going through one link...we have a direct correlation between volume spikes and a fall in performance.

Anyone else run into this?

Wondering if separating the traffic into different URLs might help.

Is there a chance that you are getting bot traffic. Often, bot traffic can cause this anomaly.

This could be bot traffic.

You will need to drill down into the data and see if these increase in clicks are coming from a small pool of IP's and virtual machines.

It's publisher direct so I am 100% sure it's not bot traffic...I think it is volume of clicks overwhelming DNS. We started splitting traffic into a couple of other domains and so far stats are creeping back up again.
