    I don't mind lurkers because I lurk myself. Most people lurk without ever participating. The 80/20 rule applies. 20% of the membership accounts for 80% of the content. It hard on a new forum though.

    My Twitter profile is public. My profile on Linked in is public too although I think you have to join LinkedIn to see most of it. I keep my personal profile on Facebook private. Only my friends and family can see it and not much is listed there anyway. I do have a Facebook fan page which is public.

    I do get more traffic from Twitter than Facebook. But I don't really target Facebook. Twitter and LinkedIn provide most of my traffic.

    I have a few thousand, just under 3500 followers. I target local people, but I know that I have followers outside of my area. I have been tweeting, but haven't be aggressively searching for followers.

    I heard that PayPal was getting into the mobile payor business, but didn't know that it was going to have a completely different name. It looks like it trying to compete against SquareUp. I would never use PayPal for this purpose. PayPal is just too touchy.

    I haven't hard a mentor for my online activities. There are a few people who have influenced by internet marketing activities. One of the best advice I got about internet marketing is to study what the successful internet marketer do. I don't buy their products, but I study them.

    I remember that JC Penney was caught using blackhat techniques. It happened a little over a year ago. Google punished them too. Blackhat techniques do work, but they are only for short term results because eventually Google will find out.
