I've also learned that submitting urls to the search engines is a bad idea. My sites usually get crawled withina day or two, don't always index so fast.
I have found my wordpress sites seem to index quicker than my XSite Pro built ones
I like to submit to Ezine, gets some good backlinks. I'm also getting a lot of backlinks from forum posting, not sure how good they are but they're al showing up so I'm happy at this stage
I have dropped 560 places in one day as of yesterday. All I did was add a couple of new content pages to my WP site. It was earning be $5-10 per day from adsense too. Hope it returns quickly :-)
Adding new content can cause your site to plummet too, mine dropped from No4 to No564 overnight a day ago. All I did was add a couple of new pages.
It's been stable for ages and hopefully will come back quickly. Crazy !!
How about getting signed up for some 'do follow' forums related to Beauty and add you sites into your signature. You'll get some backlinks which will boost your SE rankings, and probably pick up some traffic directly from the forum too
the niche is only good if people are searching for those keywords in google, unless you use PPC to drive your traffic.
You need to find a niche with good traffic, and be able to rank in the top few positions in google if you are going the organic traffic route

I dowloaded the free software Comment Kahuna - it allows you to search blogs by keyword phrase and choose do follow or no follow blogs. Posting is easy.
