$100/barrell

Now that oil is reaching $100/barrel, do you think that this will force countries like Canada, USA for example, to take a more serious look at alternative energy?

Progress has been made in this department but hopefully this latest price peak will push them to move quicker.

We need a resource not controlled by another country but ourselves.

I know ethynol is being worked on, what other ones are being explored that you know of?

Bio fuel made from corn. The price of corn has in recent times shot up and it is becoming increasingly difficult for supermarkets especially to keep the price of this down now matter how much they buy.

Funny this, I was driving through Poland earlier this year and for miles on end to the left and right it was all corn fields. My wife and I did wonder where this was all destined for!
