302 redirect

If someone is linking to several of my pages with a 302 redirect, is it a problem anymore, or has this problem been long solved?

I would think it is only a problem if the your page(s) changes or no longer exists (that would a problem for them). Why not have them just link to your exact url? Also to my understanding, if a link has more than one redirect, page rank is lost in transfer.

For example:

Referring Link >> 302 to new page >> Correct page---------OK

Referring Link >> 302 to new page >> 302 to moved new page---------Lost PR

There's hazard or problem with this temporary redirection. Seo's uses the 301 redirection(permanent redirection) than this temporary (302) because it can be hacked. I mean it is not recommended and safe to use this 302 redirection. :search:

is there any need of using 302 redirect, i think you would go for direct linking to your pages
