and

Edison said that success is 10 percent inspiration and 90 percent perspiration...

so my question to you (and i do hope i get the answers i am looking for) is how can i become successful at affiliate marketing?

for instance, id like to make 100 000 dollars this year in Affiliate Marketing but have no plan.

Can a successful affiliate share with me their plan that led to their success??

The fundamentals of any plan should be
1. Find a need
2. Find a product or service that fills that need
3. Present that offer to those who need it

Obviously, there's a lot to learn in each of those steps, but all Internet marketing is based on those basic principles.

I should add #4:

4. Don't give up!

Personally I look at my goal and work back from the endto create a plan.

So in your example:

I want to make $1000000 this year.
To do that I will need XXX number of sales.
This product, at this commission rate, will satisfy the appropriate number of commissions so I can earn my goal.
I will need this many visitors to try, download etc. the product.
I will need this many clicks to my page.
I will need this many ads, pages of content, or however you are going to drive traffic.
I will start with this on XXX date.

As you can see, almost all of the points start with I; so when you are reading it will really all be about you.

I am reminded of a recent episode of South Park where Tweak was losing his underpants night after night to the underpants gnomes. Finally, he was able to arrange it that the other South park kids saw the gnomes and they all followed one of them back to their home to confront them and ask them why they were doing this.

The gnome answered, "To become rich. Stage 1 is Collect Underpants".

Kids: "What's Stage 2?"

Gnome 1 (calling out to Gnome 2): "Hey! What's Stage 2?"

Gnome 2 shows them a chart that says:

Stage 1: Collect underpants.
Stage 2: ???
Stage 3: Make lots of money.

Obviously, Stage 2 is the key.
