2.Tracking made simple

Imagine running a campaign without knowing if it's working. Yikes! That's why tracking is crucial. ⚡
Here's the catch: We use "soft KPIs" like installs and registrations. Why? Because "hard KPIs" like sales can be tricky. Someone might register today and buy next week, so tracking sales wouldn't show the full picture. Need help setting up tracking? Then read more here

3. Winning Budget Battles

Setting a low daily budget is like giving your campaign a tiny backpack for a long hike. It won't have the resources to explore and compete for ad space. ❌ A good starting point is $30 (or more) daily. Tip: Keep an eye on your wallet balance, especially during holidays or big events when traffic might spike. You don't want your campaign to stall because of low funds!

Bidding lower than the average is another budget blunder. We use a bidding system to buy traffic from zones. A low bid means less traffic and a potentially unsuccessful campaign. We recommend bidding 10-20% over the average, to turn those bets into home runs. ✅ PS! Running a CPM campaign? Then choose the 3-tier bidding system to ensure you pay based on traffic quality.


4. All about geos

The world is a big place, and targeting too many countries at once can be a recipe for disaster. For example, the US has a higher bid than some Asian countries due to the inventory. If you combine them in one campaign, your budget will get spent unevenly. Here's the solution: Create separate campaigns for different countries. This gives you better control and lets you see how your creatives perform in each location. Your Manager can also help you with this!


5. Ad Formats: One at a Time Please!

We offer lots of different ad formats, but to track your campaign best in the Performance Tab, stick to one ad format per campaign. Here's why: Mixing formats makes it hard to analyze results. Want to test different formats? ➡️ Create duplicate campaigns with the same URL but different formats. Pro-tip: Experiment with different formats to see what resonates with your target audience!


6. The Secret Sauce: Creatives!

Step 4: User interest & Website Category Targeting

At this stage, you can choose between targeting User Interest or Website Categories, but not both at the same time. Use these targeting options based on your campaign goals. They can be helpful for CPM offers, but you might not need such specific targeting for other payout models.

User Interest Targeting: Reach users based on their browsing history and interests. For example, selecting "sports" will target users who are either currently on a sports site or have recently visited one.

Website Category Targeting: Target users currently browsing a specific type of website. For example, selecting the "sports" category will show your ad to users actively visiting sports-related sites.

Device Targeting: For example, you can target users on macOS (Apple OS) by whitelisting it or excluding it using blacklisting. You can also target specific browsers or browser versions (e.g., Safari) and set browser language preferences. These parameters are saved and can be modified later.

Content Targeting: Target based on domains, URL keywords, and zone lists. You can whitelist profitable zones or blacklist unprofitable ones to optimize your campaign’s performance. Zone data can be tracked through third-party tools to improve your return on ad spend (ROAS).

Connection Type Targeting: You can target users based on their internet connection type (WiFi, 3G, 4G) or even target specific mobile carriers using organizational ISPs for more precise campaigns.

Step 6: Add your Creatives & Select your Ad Format

Next, you'll upload your creatives and select your ad format. There are five ad formats to choose from, each suited to different campaign goals.

For this example, we’ve selected Pop-Under, one of the most engaging and profitable formats.

Remember that Pop-Under only requires a creative landing page, while other formats (like Interstitial, In-Page Push, Native, and Banner Ads) require both a landing page and an image/banner/text.

You’ll also have access to macros to track and optimize your campaign via third-party tools, allowing data to flow from Adcash to your reporting system. Be sure to save your creative before proceeding.

Ad Formats Available:
  • Pop-Under: Appears behind the browser window, remaining visible until the user logs out. Great for awareness.
  • Interstitial: Appears while a page is loading, highly visible with a 5-second countdown, great for conversions.
  • In-Page Push: Like push notifications, these are targeted and engaging without disrupting the user experience.
  • Native: Blends seamlessly with content, offering high engagement and conversions.
  • Banner: Traditional display ads (skyscrapers, rectangles, leaderboards) perfect for brand awareness.
 
Step 7: Set your Advertising Campaign Budget & Bids

Now that your campaign is taking shape, it’s time to focus on the finer details—bids, tracking, cappings, and budget.

Bid Settings:

Select your preferred bid type—CPM, CPC, or CPA Target. Keep in mind that CPC is not supported for Pop-Under ads. If you have tracking in place, we recommend using CPA Target Bidding, which automatically optimizes your campaign for better performance. For CPM, you can use Quality Tier Bidding, which allows you to set multiple bids per country for more precise control.

Tracking Settings:

Goal tracking is crucial for campaigns with performance-based payouts like CPA or CPS. You can choose Automatic (via conversion postback) or Manual (input the goal amount for each campaign). Ensure you integrate the tracking code onto your landing page to track conversions accurately.

Cappings:

Here, you can control your campaign’s budget and impressions:

Daily Budget: Set a daily cap for spending globally or by country.

Daily Impressions: Limit how many impressions your campaign receives each day.

Budget & Timing:

Set your campaign’s overall budget as a Total Budget (e.g., $1000) or a Daily Budget (e.g., $250). You can also choose to run your campaign 24/7 or specify certain hours to run each day.

Once everything looks good, check your settings one last time in the overview and hit Create Campaign. Our compliance team will review your campaign and notify you once it is approved.
 
Step 8: Setup Tracking

Adcash provides two tracking methods for monitoring the performance of your web and mobile campaigns:

Conversion Value Setting:

In the Tracking section of your campaign goals, you’ll now see an option to set a campaign conversion value. This allows you to calculate your ROAS (Return On Ad Spend).

You can choose between:

Automatic: The conversion value is automatically pulled from the postback.

Manual: Set a fixed conversion value if dynamic parameters aren’t available.

This feature helps you measure campaign profitability more accurately. Remember, the campaign conversion value will override the main goal conversion value you’ve set in your tracking.

Tracking is essential for optimizing campaigns and maximizing results.

Step 9: Add Funds

Go to the Payments Portal to add your billing details. This will allow you to top up your account easily using the wallet icon in the top menu. Don’t forget to include your company VAT number to avoid tax deductions.

You can deposit funds using the currency chosen during registration. Most payments are instant, but bank transfers may take a few days.

Accepted deposit methods include credit cards, bank transfers, PayPal, Skrill, Capitalist, Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USD Coin, USD Tether)

Step 10: Run your Campaign

Click “Run” in the Actions column to notify the Compliance team for review. Once approved, your campaign will go live. Now, sit back and relax—your campaign is up and running!

Step 11: Campaign Optimization

Once your campaign is live, it’s time to test and optimize for better performance. Allow your campaign to gather traffic before making any changes—how quickly you can optimize depends on your bid type and budget (see Step 7).

The Performance Tab helps you track key metrics such as auction participation, win rates, and ROAS (Return on Ad Spend).
