Everyone knows they should set goals but not everyone does. I've been following a "goals" thread over at WebmasterWorld that is FILLED TO THE BRIM with great ideas and important lessons learned. Every newbie affiliate and even old pros that want greater success in the coming year need to read this, learn from it and then set your own goals for 2007.

<strong> the SMART way - be sure to make your goals</strong>:
<em><strong>S</strong>pecific
<strong>M</strong>easurable
<strong>A</strong>ttainable
<strong>R</strong>ealistic
<strong>T</strong>ime-bound</em>
Dave starts things off with a simple question that turns into an info-rich collaborative lesson for affiliates. <strong><a href="http://www.webmasterworld.com/advertising/3146256.htm">What is everyone's goal?</a></strong>
<blockquote>"When I first started with affiliate marketing over three years ago I didn't have any goals set out as to how well I wanted to do and at what point I'd like to be at that stage. It is extremely important to set your goals and also to write them down on paper. Have them up above your computer or on your desk somewhere so you can see them every day. I do mainly PPC to merchant, or to my own forms and have finally reached my goal of 30k/month. What's my next goal? Maybe 50k to 75k per month, who knows, I still need to formulate it! Thanks to everyone at WW, and within this forum especially for their help! Being successful is easy when you know how and know where to look
What is everyone else's goals?"</blockquote>
There are a TON of good lessons, tips and some very important insight throughout this 3 page thread.
Lots of things I wanted to pull out and quote, but didn't.
Go read it and then come back here to
discuss the ideas and your own goals.
HMMMM... just realized I haven't followed my own advice and don't have my goals set for next year.
I'll think about my goals and share if YOU will!
