Hi all

Im a complete n00b at site design, all other sites ive done have been from webtemplates...so i decided to have a go myself and designed this site for a friend at that site.. http://www.reelhouse.co.uk/reeltest/index.htm

The problem is evident from the start. The main info window is out of alignment with the rest of the page, as seen by the black lines along the edges (turn up your brightness if you cant see it). The window is this http://www.reelhouse.co.uk/reeltest/reeltemplate_r4_c3.gif and all i want is to be able to slice that window up in Fireworks and replace the window (from the template) in DW. But everytime i try to export, the window increases by 1 pixel.

Ive done some googling about and it seems i have a spacer problem. Please can anyone shed light here, im a little out of my depth i agree but im thinking this is a relativley easy problem to rectify...trouble is i dont know how to lol :uhoh: :dev2:

I didnt even notice the problem until it was raised...and only then coz my mate had his brightness full up and it then i could see it was huge!

im previewing the site in I.E.6 and im using DW2004MX, Fireworks and Imageready.

please...any help is good at the mo.

cheers
Dave.

create a 1*2 spacer file to replace the missing pixel, just copy the existing design which is replicated into the background, IMO this is not the best way to design a site (what is the total filesize of that page?) but if you get stuck let me know

I've copied and pasted your code in Dreamweaver and will be taking a look at it as well. Just keep in mind that I'm no guru.

Well, uh, remember when I couldn't even figure out how to move an element in DW? Yeah, well I can now.
