Anyone using 3-way link exchanging?

In my opinion, three way links are not better than link exchanges. In fact, they may actually be viewed as worse than a link exchange since you're trying to be sneaky about the fact that you're trading links. Google is pretty advanced and can detect that kind of thing.

I don't do three way link exchanges, personally. I do exchange links since that's still an effective way to build up links when used in moderation.

One way links, however, still remain the best. My goal is for 80-90% of my links to be one way.

If you decide to go with three way links, then my advice to you would be to use them in moderation just like with link exchanges.


That's my $.02, and it works for me - others may disagree.

Nope. Never use 3 way links on my sites but get requests to do them every day by "SEO firms". Drives me nuts =) Why? Because 3 way linking is considered a spam technique by the online community. I advise against it.

1). Look at the class C IP range, are they in the same scope?
2). Are the domains owned by the same NIC Handle?
3). Do the sites cross link?

Answer yes to any of these and it will not work.
