Backlinking Problem

I never thought about this before - but I have a client's landing page that has listed in the SERPs as: abc dot com - however, I backlink to his landing page as www.abc dot com.

Should I backlink to his site the way it is listed in the SERPs (in other words - drop the www) or does it really matter?

You should back link to his site with Key Word Phrase or Site Name, not abc.com
just like you do the sites in your sig.

My blog also happened to be listed in the same way despite the fact that i was building backlink using my whole site. I suggest you do the usual thing. It will still have the same effect on the site.

no - I have anchor text - but the link itself is www.abc dot com

He is listed in the SERPs as abc dot com - there is no www attached to his url
