I guess it's better late than never to sharpen up our affiliate tracking and any help would be hugely appreciated. The problem that I'd like to solve is choosing the right platform that'll provide detailed analytical insight on the +200 commercials running atm. Being a comparison site, I think our needs are a little different than your average bloggers.
Some context:
We currently redirect traffic to clients from our financial comparison tables and rely on the +150 clients to provide conversion data so that we can invoice them. Most of the time, we only get visability on reporting at months end where our clients send an EOM report with daily conversion data.
Some clients use a Has Offers, Performance Horizon, Sizmek & DCM. We basically want to:
- Track clicks on our side ( from the comparison tables)
- Conversions post click
- Revenue / budgets
- Historical conversion data
Our clients and ourselves will both be using click trackers along with tracking conversions. So there's a bit of crossover however it adds visibility and consistency.
We currently use GA, GTM, Click Meter & Custom Event tracking with SnowPlow.
