Bill Gates had been the richest person in the world for the last 13 years in a row. That no longer is the case according to the new listing of billionaires in the world by Forbes.
1. Warren Buffett - 62 billion dollars
2. Carlos Slim Helu - 60 billion dollars
3. Bill Gates - 58 billion dollars
Bill Gates has dropped to number 3 in the world and number 2 in the United States. He could have remained number 1 if Microsoft hadn't made the offer to buy Yahoo. Microsoft stock prices have gone down since then but half of his fortune is outside of Microsoft stock.
There are 1,125 billionaires on the list. At 23, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest. He ranks number 785 in the world at one and a half billion dollars.
