The latest two generations have grown up with computers. I think they are so connected with technology that they forget to connect with people. They forget that on the other end is a living, breathing person who is reading their words for some very specific reason.

Maybe they're bored, in a bind, sick....whatever. Readers hope to find what they need, even some hint of help, in your words, even in comments. Maybe especially in comments, as those tend to be written by people in the same situation.

Everything....everything...you put on the internet stays there somewhere forever. Wouldn't it be nice if we all contributed only good/helpful stuff? Future generations who discover it will think we were brilliant, kind and funny.

Note - gawd, just posted and read this, sounds like a sermon! Sorry. I did mean it, just wish it didn't come out sounding like that.
