I'd like to use this post as a model for building my sites, but also as a definative resource for other newbies who are just starting out. I'm looking for your ideas (in order) of how you would go about creating and marketing a successful website.
I'm sure the word "successful" can be interperited in many different ways. The way I look at it is as follows:
1) Goals: (No product to sell) To build a thriving web community and possibly bring in some revenue via advertising or membership
- Theme is already established
- Your site is online
What should you do next and in what order?
2) Goals: (Marketable Product to be sold online) To capture targeted traffic interested in your product.
- Theme is already established
- Your site is online
What should you do next and in what order?
I think this can become an invaluable resource if it's definative.
Thanks for your help,
Ken
