I feel that Internet tax or Amazon tax, as it's called nowadays, is bound to happen from a practical point of view and fairness point of view. Practical because all government bodies (states, federal, municipals, cities, etc) are in need of cash. Fair in a sense that traditional retailers have to pay tax.

But instead of this affiliate nexus BS which, to me, is unduly unfair, why don't they just assess a form of Use Tax. There's more guarantee for income and it does not burden affiliate marketing, which is still in its "cottage industry" phase.
