Can anyone suggest a good marketplace to start out with?

Hi guys,

I am about to start placing some affiliate links soon and would like to know, what is the best marketplace to start out with?

I saw the post about how ClickBank is not recommended to start with for newbies.

It depends on your niche and the type of products you want to promote. If you want to sell fitness equipment or diet products they aren't going to be on CB anyway as they only sell eBooks. So for physical products try Shareasale, Google Affiliate Network or Commission Junction.

If what you really want to promote is eBooks then CB may be OK if you're promoting niche products. (Not anything in the make money space) You just have to be aware it's harder to get your 1st check due to the weird payment requirements and you should be sure to cloak your links.

I would stick with those top three linda mentioned, maybe add in Linkshare.

Once you start getting sales and checks from one, or more, of them you can add in some clickbank products (there are a couple of ebooks in your niche there).

Clickbank is hard to get a check from for sure. I have $75 sitting in my account now, but need 2 more sales (at least) to get paid. Since I started there, thats where I continue to focus (but my niche IS an information niche, so it works for me... and there were no good products on paydotcom).

Try to use Commission Junction. It's also a good marketplace to promote your site.
