This would permit single-events sports betting in Canada (including e-sports), opening up a new revenue channel for affiliate marketers as the Canadian economy recovers from the effects of Covid-19

Betting on sports has long been a fairly active and interesting way for many people to make a primary or supplementary income, so it's cool that it's starting to be regulated on a legislative level - I don't see it as a problem if it's correct and safe.

A lot a big media buyers in the iGaming niche are saying that Canada is one of the best iGaming Tier-1 geos next with Australia. Sport betting also will probably run very good there, Canadiands are fanatical about hockey and other sports.

Canadiands are fanatical about hockey
Canada has less provinces
Both of those statements are true.

Hockey is to Canadians what football is to Americans (I think). It's huge here and often used in marketing for contests (ticket giveaway) and on Tim Horton's cups and in TV commercials. Other sports are popular too but hockey is the #1.

Yup, we have 10 provinces + the Northwest Territories but each one is very large in comparison to individual states. Again, I think that's an accurate statement, I've never measured. :D

Sports betting is definitely here, at least in Ontario. I see the Proline option advertised on TV and at the lottery machines in stores, as well as online. It's a provincial government run thing.

To be licensed in the US to be part of a sportsbook operation costs about $1000 ($200 to $3000) first license per state (+annual renewal ) --I think 32 states allow internet sports gambling now. Canada has less provinces, similar licensing laws, so the costs are less but per capita they are similar. So you will need a lot of money to be an affiliate as that is considered an "operator" too is what I am finding out.
$10K - $20K to get started.
