>>>Shanghai fences up COVID-hit areas, fuelling fresh outcry
SHANGHAI, April 24 (Reuters) - Shanghai authorities battling an outbreak of COVID-19 have erected fences outside residential buildings, sparking fresh public outcry over a lockdown that has forced much of the city's 25 million people indoors.

Images of white hazmat suit-clad workers sealing entrances of housing blocks and closing off entire streets with roughly two metre-tall green fencing went viral on social media, prompting questions and complaints from residents.<<<

This is going to cause more supply chain issues and effect the economy if this continues for any time.
Shanghai residents are under *house arrest* for all intents and purposes.

  • Oil consumption may go down
  • Some goods may become scarce
  • e-commerce may experience shortages of some goods
  • Shanghai is a financial market center in China
  • Chinese ADR stocks may crash again
  • Maybe, it won't matter?

Same shit, new day.

Select countries are creating weaknesses and calamities for a reason. It goes beyond what we see, there are underlying strategies at work that may never come to the surface.

In China people are treated like farm animals by their government.
There is no conspiracy beyond that.

In the USA we have lots of gas and oil and the costs of extraction and processing may be a bit more now but not 30%+ more.
Reenact either price controls or the windfall profits tax on the oil and gas industry.

There are two pricing schemas; market and cost. The world market price does not change the domestic production costs.
Did I call it, or what :D
Much of the recent inflation is the direct result of world market pricing of oil and gas.
