Dmoz is a known as a open directory project. It is high PR and very reputable sites for directory submission. It generate very huge visitor traffic for your site, if you get back links from Dmoz.

Dmoz is a open source website directory. Historically, directories were a simple and effective way to bulk up your site's link profile (and by extension, increase your site's authority and, hopefully, rankings).

Google, on the whole, takes a dim view of the vast majority of directory links now. Nevertheless, Dmoz is still well regarded. As such, it's pretty much a no-brainer to submit your site to be registered.

Word of warning: it's managed by volunteers so don't hold your breath.
