Do you list non-profit, non-commercial sites for free?

Hello,

I saw a similiar topic somewhere and I though I should get views from the UKWW community, would you list a non-profit, non-commercial site for free on your paid web directory, assuming it is a high-quality web site?

I have seen some mixed answers, but I would, I think these sites should be listed as they are not made for any profits, and I don't think we should charge them for anything, yet, many directory masters chose not to list them for free.

Would you list them for free, if so why?

If I have appropriate category and website is a high quality like you mentioned - I would list it for free.

But I would disagree with your other statement:
I don't think we should charge them for anything...

I did design work for non-profit website not so long ago and they asked for discount - sorry but I am not so rich to work for free...

You should also keep in mind that most of these "non-profit" ventures make more than enough money to support themselves.

I will consider listing them for free but I do not have and automatic policy to list non profit making organisation free of charge.

Good point Skinner.

@Temi, seems like most directory masters would list them for free, though only if they are quality web sites.

Well, I don't come across that many charity submission, perhaps if its a well know charity I may consider free inclusion for them

i would add a quality site for free to my paid directory anyhow, REGARDLESS of whether it is submitted.. So should others ;)

I'll add quality relevant sites for free & often do ... makes a change from the usual crap that gets submitted without paying - I'm sure all directory owners just love those casino and mp3 sites that submit and forget to pay ;)

That never happens to me :) If a user doesn't pay for his listing, he ends up as a suspended listing, it all is a automatic process and "suspended listings" don't even show up at the submissions queue page, great system isin't it?
