Do you think SEO may cease to exist?

Do you think it's even possible? For example, if a completely new way of searching for information appears and takes root (I find it hard to imagine what, but still), then what will happen to this industry and all the specialists?

Search AI and paid ads will further usurp SEO SERPS. Writing is on the wall. Get while the gettin' is good ;)

SEO 'experts' IDK?

It's unlikely that SEO will cease to exist anytime soon. As long as people continue to use search engines to find information online, there will be a need for website owners and marketers to optimize their content to appear in relevant search results.

That being said, the specific techniques and strategies used in SEO are constantly evolving, as search engines become more sophisticated and new technologies emerge. For example, the rise of natural language processing and voice search is likely to have a significant impact on how SEO is done in the future, with a greater emphasis on conversational language and long-tail keywords.

Additionally, as search engines become better at understanding user intent and delivering personalized search results, SEO may become more focused on creating high-quality, relevant content that meets the needs of specific audiences, rather than on manipulating search engine algorithms.

So while SEO may continue to evolve and change, it is unlikely that it will disappear altogether. As long as there are search engines and people using them to find information, there will be a need for website owners and marketers to optimize their content for search.

It is unlikely that SEO (Search Engine Optimization) will cease to exist entirely, but it is possible that the nature of SEO may change in the future.

The internet and search engines are likely to continue to evolve and change, and SEO strategies may need to adapt to new technologies and user behaviors. However, as long as people use search engines to find information and businesses need to attract customers online, there will likely be a need for SEO.

In my opinion, SEO is likely to remain a part of the marketing mix for years to come, but I do agree that its nature may change. Will change, actually. I don't it's possible to predict at this point how exactly, but it will.

Are you talking about chat GPT? Google will buy that thing when it starts to affect their business.

lets say seo does fall off which I dont believe it will and something like chat gpt takes over the majority of search. Then you will have a new business model of trying to "trick " the ai in picking your site over others so basically just a new form of seo will happen.

Well, yes, I agree. There is always a new thing that takes the place of the old one.

Well the internet its build for websites and it has bilions of sites so not att all in the near future . also i dont think google will allow AI to take place over seo as they make bilions with it

I don't see how the concept of SEO can ever stop making sense as any browser that can ever exist will have to look and compare through heaps of reference points to answer the user's query (perhaps by presenting a list of results). Then, that browser (or however you wanna call it), will have to "know" which of those reference points holds more water than the rest - thus applying an EEAT scheme "unknowingly" and grouping the results of the query in tiers...

So, I just cannot fathom an online world where sites that compete in the same keyword clusters suddenly won't have any room to work on overtaking each other

Hey there! I'm new on this forum, but I thought I'd chime in on this topic. TBH, I don't think SEO is going anywhere anytime soon. Sure, there might be new ways of searching for info, but SEO specialists will always find a way to adapt and evolve. Have you heard of SEO outsearch? It's a new outreach strategy that's gaining popularity, and it's all about building relationships with influencers and bloggers to boost your website's visibility.

AI can answer many search queries without a person needing to go to any website.
That's how it may turn out. that would apply to qualitative or quantitative queries.
How many jet fighters does the UK have?

So now I have my count --is it correct? For social media argument that will work a count with a link
to back my response. How many people will take the time to read the article and see the ads and
any referral links? I think most will not.

Would I just go to Amazon, Best Buy or Walmart online and not engage with many affiliate
review websites? Tomshardware is a high authority domain and trustworthy. Not sure why
ebay is not mentioned however.

As long as there are Search Engines... there will be Optimization, The form would change no doubt, as the advertsing changed in the last 20 years, so will the SEO.
