been getting emails from most registrar that domain name prices are to be increased from next week:

Domain registries VeriSign(.com, .net tld's), Afilias(.info tld),
Neulevel (.biz tld)and Public Interest Registry(.org tld)applied for and
received price increases and have announced they will be raising their
wholesale prices to all registrars including us.

In light of that decision, will be adjusting its pricing on
Sunday, October 14, 2007 as follows:

.com domain renewals, transfers and new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year
.net domain renewals, transfers and new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year
.org domain renewals, transfers and new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year
.info domain renewals, transfers and new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year
.biz domain renewals, transfers and new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year

I register all my domains with 1and1. Old price for most tld's was $5.99 but also increasing to $6.99

Godaddy gave me $6.49 (today)
Domain Discount club member price. -- An yearly fee of $89.99

Not sure what the new price is going to be for that!

Wow $89.99 annual fee, you gotta sell a lot of domains to make that work.

Have about 250 or so with them and about 600 overall..
Yahoo when they were giving them for 2.99
And the next major one is HostWay.com

With 250 if I save $0.50 per year per domain their annual fee is paid.
And I don't have to search for coupon codes on the forums.

n The price they offer for a Domain Club member is cheaper then the coupon price.
n I paid the membership fee for 3 years which gets a 20% discount on 89.99

Not a bad investment considering the # of domains I have.

I am not a domain trader!

I just keep my names..

Planning on selling after 10 to 12 years when my kids go to college.

hope a few would fetch good amount to cover the college costs!
(Now I know I am dreaming) -- out of 600 I may get few good ones.
