For the first time in a 100 years there is only one top-flight side in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Portsmouth are that Premier League side, while Championship trio Barnsley, Cardiff and West Brom make up the rest of those still in the hat.

What a weekend of shocks as Manchester United the favourites go out to Portsmouth, with an even bigger shock next as Chelsea go out to Championship opponents, Barnsley.

The semi final draw is made later today at 1.25. Portsmouth must now be favourites to win the Cup whatever the draw. The romance of the FA cup is back.

The FA cup is truely back, at the start of the season i said there was going to be excitement again in the domestic cups, as sign the english game isnt lost for the smaller clubs, id like nothing more than to see a lower league club in Uefa Cup season...

I think the top 4 premiership clubs are suffering from fatigue, there are already in too many competition etc, not to talk or the grueling premiership fixtures, that is why lesser sides are beating them.

Portsmouth are the favorite to win the cup now. I tip Barnsley to make it to the finals against Portsmouth.

As someone once said `Football`s a funny ole game.` It wouldn`t surprise me if having beaten two of the top Premiership teams, Barnsley don`t go and fall to Cardiff.

Should be good, and - as a Welshman who supports a Welsh team playing in the English league (Colwyn Bay, Unibond League Division 1 South FTW!) - it's interesting to see what happens should Cardiff win the FA Cup. They said that they won't go into the UEFA Cup (which makes sense, as they're not part of the English FA), but it's one of those things that could quite easily cause a stir.

We're watching it with interest - it could mean that people like ourselves and Cardiff will be eligible play in the Welsh FA Cup and the English FA Cup.

Either way, I want Cardiff to win, hopefully will sort all this FA/FAW/LOW rubbish out.
