On Tuesday Google Inc. and America Online Inc. signed another deal that offers the users, besides the Web search and advertising access, to also share video and instant messaging. This deal has shut off Microsoft Corp. which fought hard to get its hands on this business.
America Online confirmed that Google agreed to invest around 1 billion dollars and therefore have 5 percent of the shares in AOL. This move will imply that Google will pass beyond text-based advertising in order to give AOL the possibility to sell graphical ads in Google's network.
