Google Products - Optimisation

I have recently had a lot of companies contacting me with regards to the Google Base/Products feed - they claim to be able to Optimise the feed to gain higher rankings in Google Products, which obviously occasionally show on search terms (Random eg: Here

Does anyone know how these techniques are achieved? I don't see the point in paying a very hefty fee for something which changes on a daily basis (products) when it can obviously be done manually.

Any ideas?

you don't need any expertise to submit and optimize product feed just add details of your product and image, thats all.
