The love story from Google and Firefox has finally done a very good thing: google tool bar for Firefox. Please read the bellow article and let me know what you think.
Google Inc. has released its popular Google Toolbar yesterday for Mozilla Firefox browsers along with two experimental Firefox extensions.
Previously, Google Toolbar had only been available for users of Microsoft's Internet Explorer. The free toolbar for FireFox users was made available for download on Thursday at 12:00 P.M. Eastern time from Google's site.
The Firefox version of the toolbar will include all of the features that users have found in the IE toolbar except for two that the Firefox browser already includes - pop-up blocking and "browse by name functionality."
Among the features found in Google Toolbar for Firefox are Google Search, AutoFill, SpellCheck, PageRank Display, Highlight Search Terms, Word Find Buttons, AutoLink - an automatic feature that will link an address to GoogleMaps - and Word Translator. The new toolbar will automatically update to the latest version.
The new toolbar will support any operating system that Firefox will run on and work with the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Chinese (both simplified and traditional), Japanese and Korean.
In addition to the new toolbar, Google is also offering two new Firefox extensions. On new feature will be the ability to highlight text on a Webpage and send it to a mobile device via SMS (short message service). The second feature gives FireFox’s own search box the ability to use the Google Suggest query-refining capability.
