Google Webmaster tools

In google webmaster tools it has a crawl rate , ive just been able to put the crawl rate onto fast which i havent before.

Is this a good idea i know it uses more server resourse's but surly this will help the crawl of my site per day ?

Any imput would be good thanks guys

I will be watching this thread with interest, I have never used any of the new google tools, I don't think my site has suffered as a result of this but I could be wrong
