Googlebots crawlink Forums

Is it true that Googlebots will crawl a forum more then any other website.

I have noticed that when a googlebot crawls a forum, it appears as a guest to that forum.

Also have seen three googlebots visit a forum at the same time with the same ip address.

Maybe the settings are different on mine but it shows the "bots" visits.

GKD's forum uses phpBB and Midlandi's is a vB so naturally the two sofware see things differently

Phpbb shows all guest ip addresses that are browsing around the forum but have not yet registered.

GoogleBot is always there

Google do not treat forums any differently to other sites. The reason a forum/blog or any busy web 2.0 site gets spidered so often is that they produce content constantly. Spiders like new content so they come back more often. I normally have a couple of bots constantly on my forum.

Just a little update from Hungary, at the monent our board have two famous guests at the same time Google & Yahoo! Slurp, maybe they are discussing something
