First of all, i studied computers / programming when i was at TAFE (AUSTRALIA)....
did some computer and a lot of manual work since then - age 38
so kids at school know more about computers now-a-days, than i do
when at TAFE, i will never forget what one lecturer said to the class...
paraphrased
"We are not here to teach you this or that programming language, nor are we here to teach you operating systems or user software.
We are here to give you the tools to teach yourself".
and it has certainly been true in my case..
Over the last 6-12 months (off and on), i have taught myself webpage design and building - for which, i think i have some professional looking pages....
