Virginia Beach that is. My name is Paul and I am the President of RED-INK; a Web based information provider specializing in bankruptcy data.

I also have a background in real estate; being a broker and owner of a small firm.

A transplanted Yankee from PA - I have been here for 25 years - and like it.

I am looking forward to learning about affiliate program marketing.

Thanks for the welcome folks. Obviously I am slow, but sure... I think. Just coming back after making a half hearted start last time; I'll try to stick with it this time.

I do have a couple questions:
When/if someone replys to a posting of mine, will I automatically receive an email message?

Secondly, and more to do with business, I would like to know if my business is suitable for affiliate marketing.

I believe I would be considered an advertisor/merchant. My company is a Web based information provider, specializing in bankruptcy data. We have several target markets, that I suppose we would be considered niche.

Would this be the right forum to go into detail about what we do and to whom we sell?

The reason I question if we are suitable for affiliate marketing, is that I get the impression the norm is for publishers (?) - the affiliates doing the actual selling, typically do not get involved with actual verbal sales activity. They are more lead generators. Is that accurate?

Welcome back.

Best to post in the merchant/affiliate manager forum with a descriptive subject so people that may have answers can help you. Right now your qs are hidden behind a 'beach' post in the intro forum

You can talk about your program in general, enough to ask questions just have to be careful it does not sound promotional. But we'll be happy to try to help you over there.
