Hi all,

I started internet marketing about 2 years ago with zero previous knowledge. (For example I didn't know what Internet Marketing means.)

I think that Internet Marketing is an industry that you have more options to make money, than any other industries out there.

That's a good and bad thing at the same time. It's a good thing when you know what you are doing (been around at least few years or have some marketing background).

Huge amount of choices on the other hand can be not so good for a person who is just starting out from poin zero.

I've had my own up and downs for sure, but it's part of learning process.

I've never considering quitting, because I like when you have lot of options, because it enables to be creative (not a banner):p

I started like many others by making small sites and trying to rank in google. Had some success, then the algo changes started rolling in and my rankings were gone. I still don't know why because I didn't use any blackhat methods.

Nowadays I've given up SEO allmost completely, I still do it, but consider it as an extra income. My main focus from now on is paid traffic. Right now I'm very interested in various PPC-networks.

However, I started to see some serious money three months ago, well serious for me 3-5K$ month, mostly by CPA offers and some sales. I still feel that I'm on very shaky grounds. My own first goal is steady +5K€/month, and I consider this happened when that profit or more is made six months in a row.

Then I'll set a new goal.

After two years I still feel that there are so much to learn and there is. In IM-business you have to educate yourself all the time, because everything changes so rapidly. That is another good/bad issue, because there are tons of new information from almost every sector of IM.

I think that the best think to keep your knowledge updated without reading for hours every day, is to join some reputable forum (only ONE for every IM sector you're involved with), and get the forum rss, or order a newsletter. When you find a place that you're interested in, do some google searching, and make a judgement call if that is the place where you can get the information you need.

This way you don't get every possible bit of info that comes up daily, but you get enough information. If needed, then you can always dig deeper.

I haven't been a part of any forum actively, and since this Forum's main focus is CPA I decided to join. Looks like a great place to learn CPA, and I propably join the Dojo after finishing couple of other projects.

Main reason for joining was that I still suck in tracking, which is the crucial part for running succesfull CPA campaigns in a long run. Propably the most important part. With my semi-chaotic systems I know that my ROI is good for most campaigns, but I want learn tracking more efficiently.

Actually, I think that first thing to learn before running any CPA campaigns is how to track them properly. If you use many traffic sources with different platforms, learn how to track first one, launch some campaigns, and then move to next one and so on.

This way you are able to make some money while learning, and the sound in your head: "GOT TO MAKE SOME MONEY, GO MAKE SOME MONEY GOD DAMN IT!" should get little less noisy, enabling you to spend time learning, with less stress.

That was a very long introduction, thank you if you took time to read it.:D

Welcome to CPAFix. You've definitely found the right place to get information. Be sure to check out the forum, plenty of posts on how to properly setup your Prosper 202 for tracking. Good to see you have stuck with it and be sure to not look at errors as mistakes, but rather a learning experience. Good luck and there are plenty of people here who want to see you succeed so don't be scared to ask for help. The only stupid question, is the one you don't ask! :)
