How Do You Choose Your Offer?

How do you guys go about choosing what offer to promote on a specific affiliate network? Do you look at the "Network Earnings" section (like in Commision Junction) where it shows you performance indicators for the offer like the 3 month EPC / 7 day EPC? Are those indicators enough to know whether or not the offer will be profitable? What are some other data you use (ex. through spy tools etc) to see if the offer is decent? Many thanks!

So, I use several methods and it is an important aspect of your business. Choosing offers for the niche(s) you serve requires research, as does most all of our business. Remember, this is a data business. Everything we do is reliant on current and accurate data. That is why we use intelligence platforms. We research data, then launch campaigns and analyze data, then we revise, refine, and then finally scale based on the data we collect.

That said, my business is primarily rooted in content marketing these days. Most of the offers, not all, but at least half is in private affiliate programs and for that I cannot rely on an intelligence platform as much as with typical offers provided by networks, and product or service platform owners. For high end private affiliate programs one must be proficient at finding the affiliate competitors as well as being exceptionally good at spying on them.

Using an intelligence platform, you will see the offers for your niche being promoted, what creatives are used, what landers are used, which traffic sources, etc. This will help you select offers and obtain critical data for launching campaigns with similar features in the niche(s) you serve.

AmNovice,
networks often recommend popular or best-converting offers somewhere in the panel. You can also contact the network managers who would gladly recommend or help you choose specific offers.

Best regards, Marta, MyLead.

Those indicators can and cannot work each time.
If there is only 1 big successful source running that campaign, we can be seeing very attractive data but we are not seeing how many sources have tried and failed so far.
We may directly go into that list of failed sources. (This happens in general for most of offers suggested automatically on any platforms)
I would be comfortable with an account manager who has smooth and dedicated communication.
They can understand your audience and suggest matching offers accordingly.
Of course there is a possibility of manipulation but that part is up to you to understand how sincere they are.
