Ive noticed if you create a blog, for example with blogger.com, the website does not seem to appear in google search. How do you get your websites to show up in people searches?
I think blogger blogs probably get picked up by Google automatically. Not sure.
Best thing is to submit your blog to the main blog aggregators you'll find at
Pingomatic. Then after each post PING pingomatic which will update all those sources so they list your latest post.
As far as getting your blog in the regular search engines, the best way is NOT to submit to search engines, but let them find it by following links from related sites. So post in a forum or blog related to your industry. Post something meaningful, not spam or a one-liner. Link to your blog in the post. If it's a fairly busy blog or forum, the spiders will find your link and follow it.
The more TARGETED links you get, the more the search engines will like you. After they find your blog if you keep updating often they will keep coming back for more.
EDITED - I meant link to your blog when you post a comment on a blog. In the comment form there will be a place for your blog URL.
IN FORUMS - Need to add your link in your signature. Most forums including this one don't like you to link to your site, just to link to your site and we don't allow it, but sigs are fine.
there's no need for registration or anything what you need to do is to make backlinks for your site through directory submission, article submission, forum posting, link exchange... then everytime you make an update for your site the search engine spider will be crawling your site with all of the backlinks it has then that's where your ranking begins...

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted. They are acceptable for a vendor listing, but not for the member email. This is due to bulk email processors scrubbing them for delivery due to extremely high bounce rates. If we discover you signed up with a role based name we will give you only one message to change it. After 3 days your account will be removed if the email is not changed.
