How to make banner images into clickable link

Hi

This is pissing me off now, i have been trying to link a banner to a clickbank offer but it isn't working.

It's a standard banner image, i have tried putting the link in through the edit post area, but when i try to test it, it comes up with this message '' could not load item, please make sure the path is correct''.

Any suggestions

i want to have a banner on the top of an individual page, where people can click the banner and it will take them to another site. Im using beaver builder to layout my webiste pages and posts.

I do get an option to link the banner to a url but it dosent work when i test it.
