Hello Friends,

I want to update the website, but I don't know whether I should use FTP or Dreamweaver. Can you please tell me which option should I opt to make change.

Is your site an HTML site?

Did you build the site in Dreamweaver? If you did, was it you or someone you paid to build it?

FTP is a 'protocol' --Dreamweaver is a coding application (WYSIWYG HTML +) ==they are not the same.

Dreamweaver includes a FTP client IIRC (been many years)
Did you build the site in Dreamweaver?
That matters A WHOLE LOT!

If the site was made with a site-builder app you need to be able to access all of the files or store them locally to use them on your new website.

Hi! It depends on your experience. If you're comfortable coding, FTP is straightforward. For a more visual approach, Dreamweaver might be better. What kind of updates are you planning?

I’d go with FTP if you're comfortable with managing files directly on the server. It's pretty straightforward and gives you full control over your site. Dreamweaver is more for a visual approach, and it can be helpful if you want something more design-oriented, but it’s not necessary unless you prefer that kind of workflow. Both have their pros, but FTP is usually simpler for just updating files.
