Only recently you asked us all what 'blog posting' is. I'm sorry but if you had no clue as to what that was, you are probably a long way short of knowing much about Joomla security...

joomla.org have put together a Joomla Administrator's Security Checklist which can help, you use it to secure your Joomla site as much as possible when you follow the guidelines.
Other security measurement you can employ include the following:
- Use a unique and strong password and change your password from time to time
- Don't use root user in mySQL, as the user of your database
- Install the jSecure Authentication plugin
- Don't use the jos_ prefix
- Proper file/folder permissions
- Setup a backup and recovery process
- Proper Hosting Environment, you need to find a hosting company like Domain name registration who know and offer additional security for Joomla and other CMS. It is also important to set register_globals OFF and disable allow_url_fopen. I hope this help. Good luck
