Yes, silly me. I think the most valuable position you may get with a niche directory is the hub position. OWG talked about it previously. This is a stressed status among the websites and rank well at the search engines. I think the fewer link may help to gain this status, though i have never had any hub site. And i can't tell you too much about the general directories since i don't have any
I would say the more links the better but still make sure u have alot of sites linking back to you. Especially if u plan to sell the site in the future it looks better if it is full than empty.
