London to stage Olympics 2012 good news for webmasters?

London has just won the bid to stage the 2012 Olympic games, price in British construction companies has gone up dramatically as lots of new facilities will be built, London estate agents are rubbing their hands in glee as London house prices is forecasted to skyrocket.

What about London webmasters? I hope a piece of the action will come our way as well

I'm just glad it wasn't held in New York. The money spent in security expenses would far outweigh any potential boom to the economy. Hell, most high end hotels/restaurants are booked nightly anyway.

Anyone wanting to host the olympics in this post 9/11 era, have at it.

I am pleased it will be staged in London, I am sure the security services will be up to the job and its still many many years away, hopeful all the current security situation will be much better by 2012
