Honestly Paul, do you think it's a good idea or does it make me a complete lowlife considering it would be paid text links on the main page of lifesupporters given the scope of that site.

I am considering doing it but not if it will compromise the sites integrity, we all know I'm a lowlife already, no use protecting my reputation.

Duke, as long is the content you're linking to is related and family safe, I don't see a problem at all.

Be sure to check those links often, as link buyers love to change their content from time to time. Check to see how long the domain has been registered, etc.

Bait and switch, I bloody hate it. I got a network of financial sites that had done this in Skaffe. They were of course thrown out when we realised.

Nothing wrong with selling links on the homepage of your site, the stronger your site the more valuable the link from homepage is, one of my sites I used to give homepage on it free of charge (to link exchange partners) link on the homepage is now worth £100 per link, I try not to over do it, I have limited myself to selling a maximum of 5 links,

Interestingly, I did not advertise, people just approach me and offer to advertise on my site, I then create an advert subscription page to semi automate the process, I just point prospective advertisers to Advertisement page

Buy you can post advert for links in forums that allow such post. You are welcomed to post your link for sale advert in this thread: http://forums.ukwebmasterworld.com/business-offered-or-wanted.html and this: http://forums.ukwebmasterworld.com/link-post-&-signature-exchange.html and my other forum www.webmasterserve.com

I will also point people who want to buy links that I know of in your direction.

It may be good to sort out prices, minimum link duration and the type of sites you will accept links from

You may also wish to advertise on link auction sites, some of the link auction sites are free

Well, I wouldn't put paid ads or links on a website that is selling something as it would make your product / service seem crappier but since you have a content site, and it is for a good cause your website lifesupporters.com, I don't really seem the harm in it.

Of course if you were to take the $50 you make form it and spend it on buying a sword to kill people, then I could see the harm in it.

Duke, sell as many links as you like. Make as much as you can, as this fad will not last forever. Take your 5-10K per month while you can.
