Mega Site

Is a mega-site always classified as an authoritative site?

Also - is there a certain number of pages a site can be classified as a mega-site?

I don't think there are any hard and fast answers to either of those questions, bigcat. Certainly, Panda penalized some sites that many people probably considered to be mega sites, so it's clear that doesn't always confer authority status.
