When EV1 (originally called RackShack) came out with dedicated servers for $99 (and at that time dedicated servers cost a lot more) a lot of people said they were crazy, could not make any money doing it, and the servers were probably low quality and unreliable.

As you are looking for a dedicated server, I would also like to advise you to install monitoring tool onto your server to monitor the server, its network,uptime, services and applications.

For my server I installed IPHost Monitor software and after that I control all the services on my server (it doesn't matter whether I am connected to my server or not).
