First time affiliate here. I am web developer and decided to use my strengths to try my hand in affiliate marketing.

I created a site {link to own site deleted} . I am trying my best using all the techniques I can think off to drive traffic to the site but the conversions are just not there. I chose amazon because of their conversion rates. Anyone have any suggestions?

Much appreciated!! :)

PPC - simple as that.

I create my entire living online and I only ever use one traffic source - PPC.
It is the only traffic source you can control - you can push the keywords that make you money and kill off the junk keywords - you can also tweak your site based on actual solid data feedback.

So I would only recommend PPC.
If you want any more info just lemme know

Amazon is OK, but most people in my opinion just go to amazon directly. I would create an authority site / niche and promote niche products that amazon might not have. get involved in more affiliate programs that have different type of products. and if you want to try to wholesale on amazon...forget it..they will bury you most of the time. just what i have seen in the recent past

PPC is good like the last poster mentioned and its is where most of your traffic will some from in the beginning...however the key is to build a contact list....this is something you don't have to pay for constantly like PPC which is a kind of drawback
