New gLTDs - Boom or Bust

The first big batch of the new gLTDs is expected to go online in September 2013. Remember, these are the ones that got auctioned off at $100k+ a little ways back? What are you guys predicting? Boom or Bust? I say bust. I thought they would have learned their lesson after all of the .mobi hype, but I guess if you have money to burn... mao:

There was allot of discussion over this topic last year.. My vote is still a bust although some people out there are buying them up... Should be interesting to see how it plays out over the next few years..

Certainly a bust. Best to stick to established TLDs where possible.

Most of the new extensions are a little bit of a gimmick but some of them are very useful so clients can get a good, memorable domain name without having to resort to adding extra words.

I would say these nes TLD's are just waste of money. Each year a zillion of new TLD's are released but most of them are rubbish. IMO the only good domains are generic TLD's, such as .com , .net and country specific like: .co.uk ,.us ..
