OnlyFans hits the Fan!

Reuters just decided OnlyFans is very *evil* and it made a full feature "investigation" headline this morning

“chatters.” It is their job to coax subscribers into tipping the creators and buying more porn.

The presence of chatters on OnlyFans has been documented before, often as a quirky if dubious byproduct of the platform’s runaway success. But a Reuters investigation found they play an essential supporting role in OnlyFans’ business, sustaining a fundamental deception that both hooks and harms loyal customers and brings legal risks to the platform.

OnlyFans doesn’t employ chatters or even acknowledge their existence. Still, they form part of a largely unregulated global ecosystem that has evolved alongside the company’s explosive growth. They are often hired by agencies that manage many top OnlyFans content creators, sometimes referred to as models. All three – agencies, creators and chatters – share the same goal: to persuade subscribers to spend as much money as possible on the models’ accounts.
I no longer regret not executing my "porn social media platform" 10 years ago --I thought it would be a giant legal hassle in the US.

You can expect the US Congress to possibly get involved now --this being an election year here ;)

Sounds like it was a very wise decision. What a headache/PITA/legal expense that would be!

Yeah, your Congress doesn't have enough going on this year, they need something new to focus on. :rofl I don't watch what's going on Stateside much anymore but I've seen enough to get the idea that it's non-stop topics being argued, discussed and debated. The past few weeks seem to have been kind of busy. There's so much everywhere these days, it's hard to keep up sometimes.

A lot of this has become political "white noise" to me unless I am directly affected.
I'm getting that way, myself. I quite often just read the headlines and not the associated info, usually gives me the gist. I've gotten to the point where I can't stand the intensity much anymore.
