Order of the Day: put something out there

Bright New Star Award - June 09
Ok, this is a little happiness involved as I just secured another sale... on a product that I haven't promoted in over a month. My current efforts based around that product have made me over $120 on clickbank. And here is the effort that I have put forth on this project that I am on the brink of attacking a bit heavier (apparently my thoughts on this market are wrong.. which is good!) As an FYI, I get a sale from this product about once every 10 days or so... with no added effort, and minimal startup effort.

I did some research on keywords for this product and niche. It was easy as I took the advise on these very forums and used the words that I would type in to find the product as a starting point. I did other research via keyword tools and source code on competing articles on ezine articles.

From there I created a blog. On this blog I used the super affiliate theme (easy landing pages, though I HATE the link colors... I need to see if I can change that to think about it now :p) I created a landing page for the product to send my article traffic to. I then created a base format for the blog... no content other than the landing page was created.

From here I created an account with Ezine articles and began slamming articles to them in groups of three. Well to start I did 3 - 3 - 4. I did for the last day so I got to my limit of 10 so they would review my status for platinum.

While I waited for platinum status I spent time creating a hubpage and a squidoo lens... but failed in this respect in that I did not direct any traffic towards them.

I nailed platinum status easily (double failed 10th grade English in High School, but have made an income with article writing TWICE now... once back 8 years ago when I got paid to write content for another website.)

From there I kept up the 3 articles a day until I hit 25 articles, then I stopped because I learned a bit more about article marketing and spent the next week or so playing with and mastering Post Article Robot which now super-powers my article efforts.

Any good traffic articles got re-written on my blog with a pitch to sell, doubles up as long tail keyword magnet and to really learn the keywords people use to find you. Basically half of my articles are also on my blog.

Thats it. 1 blog, 1 squidoo lens, 1 hub, 25 articles. This site gets 50-80 uniques a day still and I do NOTHING on it. This was simply a test (that obviously went good).

It is not quite $20 an article a month good, but I will gladly take $60 a month while I collect keywords to really slam into this market while testing a competing product purely with a few articles and 5 squidoo lenses.

The point that I am trying to make is that I was not afraid to throw content out there. In fact I was rewarded pretty early with two sales within the second week of this "test". I am not the best writer, but I am also not afraid to try.

Go out, throw down a few articles, use a pen name if you must (I only now started a pen name, because it is in a totally separate, not related niche.) I proudly throw my name out there, and have my pretty little Ezine Articles coffee mug to prove it! The only way you can succeed is if you get out there and try.
