Over ambition killing chelsea

I think Chelsea cannot become a stable club if the manager does not have job security.

I remember when Claudio Raneri was fired, before he was fired there was so much speculation about his job, the same happened to "the special one" and not to Grant.

Compare that with say Wenger or Ferguson who do not have to keep looking over their shoulders.

I agree there to an extent. It was there for the taking tonight - Drogba played a significant part in killing Chelsea.

What a clown, really.

You go all the way in one of the greatest competition and then you give a lame girly slap and get sent off - come on. If you're going to do something like that (I am not condoning violence) then give a good right hook at the very least :banned:

haha footballers are wimps! who slaps someone!! silly boy!

Drogba apparently.

I couldn't agree more. You look at people like Ferguson, you wouldn't dare fire him. Brian Clough only retired after being religated, and he wasn't pushed. Steve Bruce took Birmingham back to the Premiership at the first time of asking, and they were safe until he was fired, and I believe Reading will walk the Championship next year with Coppell in charge.

Managers must be given time! It's stupid to talk about Avram getting the sack after leading Chelsea to the final of the Champions League. It'll bite him on the bum eventually, as prospective managers will think "Well, Mourinho's not good enough for them, a Champions League final isn't good enough for them, why should I bother?".

Stability and loyalty are dirty words in this game, if Avram goes, well I can't see them challenging for honours, especially if Drogba, Lampard and Essien go to Inter if Mourinho takes over there.

I watched the game, second have with double vision and no matter how many times I seen the Drogba sending off I started to smile like a Cheshire cat.

I don't think there is anything wrong with ambition but you have to keep a level head!!

Not by Drogba no but some girl who's seat I nicked :p

Didn't help when she sat on my lap and to make it worse, she was a Chelsea fan.

The thing is money is no object to someone like Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich being over ambitous to him would probably mean moving Stamford Bridge brick by brick to Australia on the other side of the world on the other hand wanting to win the premiership title at the very least and also the champions league are probably considered to be perfectly reasonable when you take into account the vast sums of money he has invested in the club.

I can see the point though if the football world sees this continual ruthless monster it will put some people off managing the club but money will dictate not all.
