I have been doing a lot of research on my competitors and how they are getting links. All of the major competitors are using pay per post blogs to get links. But if I am not mistaken these are considered link farms. Does any one have any insite on this?

What do you mean by "pay per post"? They are guest posting on other people's blogs to get links back to rheir own sites? Nothing wrong with that.
Or are you saying they are paying other people to post on their blogs about their sites for the backlinks?
