Project Wondeful - Anybody Use Them?

I've heard a lot about Project Wonderful, kind of a bit like a bid directory and entrecard in one (people put bids on your ads for a day, whoever has the highest bid gets the ad spot). Some people are getting about $10 a DAY for advertising on them, but it's not guarenteed.

Anybody had any success/failure with them?

So if I understand how it works - you submit site as a publisher and advertiser can bid for the space on your site?

Do you have any control over which sites you don't want to accept?

What happens is that you put a minimum bid for a day (say $0.50). Whoever bids the highest amount for a day gets their advert displayed on your blog, you get $0.50 (minus PW's cut). However, if somebody bids $.60, they get the advert displayed.

It's only for a day though, to keep ad costs down, but you can put block bids on weeks or so.

And you have to approve all bids :)

Sorry, my poor language skills, it's getting late. Before an ad is displayed, you have to approve it (unless if you've previously approved the same advert), so yes you can decline ads.

I actually used them as an advertiser before. They are sort of like Text-link-ads. But You can actually place banners on other people's websites. The problem at the time was that most of their publishers were related to teens rather than serious business. But the service was very quick my ad was placed within couple of hours. I had it running for a few days and by per click. It wasn't that bad. Thanks for reminding me of them. Now that I am actually building a forum targeted towards gamers this would be a perfect advertiser.

Regards.
